I cannot believe it's Monday! School started today and I'm officially depressed! Veggie Boy is starting 3rd grade at a new school and didn't have much good to say this afternoon. My heart breaks for him, but I know he'll be okay. Saucy Girl started Kindergarten!! Oh, my heart is breaking...My baby is in school now. There were some tears this morning (hers & mine) but after a few minutes she was ok and enjoying her day. She was full of stories this afternoon. I'm so glad she is happy...now if only Mommy can adjust to the quiet house!

This weeks menu will include a few things that never got made last week...things got a little crazy in preparation for school. The Coach has his first game of the season this Friday night, so dinner will probably be concession stand nacho's and hot dogs! Enjoy your week and check out the other menu's at I'm An Organizing Junkie.

Monday - Pasta takeout from local Italian Restaurant - YUM!

Tuesday - Skillet Steak w/Mashed Potatoes & Veggies

Wednesday - Sour Cream & Onion Chicken Strips w/Onion Straws

Thursday - Lasagne Rolls

Friday - First Game!! Concession Stand Dinner!! Go Team!!

Reading your blog made me reflect when my two girls went to k. My oldest in 5th now and my youngest went just last year and is in 1st now. My husband works and lives out of town right now so some times I forget that there are moments worth reflecting on. I get tired of the fighting between children and forget to see their fasanation, I get so tired of yelling that I forget to dance with them, and I get soooo tired of repeating myself that I forget to just not sweat the small stuff. I must admitt that I was glad to see my kids go back to school this year so I could have a break, but reading your blog brought a tear to my eye and made me remember to take time to enjoy them and the things they do, they grow up so fast and we only have them "but for a season"

Stressed out Mom,

I feel your pain sister! I too forget to bask in the joy that is "my children". They are such a gift and I'm trying to remember that and treat them as such. Glad you stopped by!

First, I wanted to tell you I LOVE the name you picked for the blog. Perfect!

Secondly, I was just telling a friend that the day D goes off to Kinder is the day you will find me bawling in the parking lot outside of school. I hope I can make it to the parking lot and not breakdown in the hallway!

How is your first week going?

Tomorrow is the big night! GO TEAM and best of luck!!
